National Barrel Racing Association

1. No REFUNDS except as indicated in 12 below.

2. Dress Code must wear jeans and boots.

3. No rider substitutions.

4. No switching of draw positions.

5. All reruns will be the decisions of the Arena Director.  Rerun will be on fresh drag.  Arena Directors decisions are FINAL.  A horse falling during run will not receive a rerun. 

6. Failure to answer 3 gate calls will result in Official scratch.

7. A horse may enter each race only once.  (Exception for family rule.)  You may enter as many horses per race as you wish.

8. Contestants will receive a no time for knocking over a barrel or breaking the pattern.

9. Drags are every 5 runs on the ground. Big drags every 100 runs on the ground. NBRA reserves the right to adjust Big drags depending on the arena used and the soil type to supply the optimal ground for it's contestants.

10. $10 sign-up fee once per contestant per race. Incentives do not incur a signup fee if contestants enter the main race.

11.Entries accepted until 25 runs from end of race.

12. Draw outs for all entries must be received in the show office before the first horse runs in the race. All applicable entry fees will be returned to the contestant.  NBRA will retain any and all sign-up fees.

14. 80% payback of entry fees and 100% added money split equally between Divisions.

 Exception to rule #14) the Big Bucks Finals pays 100% of entry fees.

15. The 5-D format will be as follows: 1-D, fastest time of race.  2-D, fastest time of race plus one-half second (.5 second).  3-D, fastest time of race plus one second (1 second).  4-D, fastest time of race plus one and one-half second (1.5 seconds). 5-D, fastest time of race plus two seconds (2 seconds).  The jackpotted entry fees will be divided equally between divisions.  If all placings in a division(s) are not filled, unpaid moneys will be divided proportionately between the places in that division. If a division does not have any places filled, then the unpaid moneys of that division will be divided equally among the other divisions.

16. The 4-D format will be as follow: 1-D, fastest time of race.  2-D, fastest time of race plus one-half second (.5 second).  3-D, fastest time of race plus one second (1 second).  4-D, fastest time of race plus two seconds (2 seconds).  The jackpotted entry fees will be divided equally between divisions.  If all placings in a division(s) are not filled, unpaid moneys will be divided proportionately between the places in that division. If a division does not have any places filled, then the unpaid moneys of that division will be divided equally among the other divisions.

17. All entries at the show to be paid in cash, no exceptions.

18. All incentives and shows run in the combination style will be under the 1 run rule. 1 run per horse ( family rule exception ) and that time stands for all classes and incentives entered for that day for that horse.

19. NBRA reserves the right to refuse any entry.

20. A $25.00 return check fee plus bank fees will be charged on all returned checks.

 

The Slot Race will payback 90% of entry fees on the following payout schedule on a straight pay out to fastest times posted:

1) A downed barrel results in a No Time.

2) Competitor may enter multiple times on different horses.

3) Entering on same horse disqualifies rider on all runs.

4) Remainder of main race rules apply aside from payouts.
